This 49-year-old patient tested positive for the BRCA 1 gene mutation and opted to undergo a bilateral risk reduction nipple-sparing mastectomy with simultaneous implant-based breast reconstruction. She has a history of breast augmentation surgery by another surgeon. Peri-areolar mastectomy incisions from the previous surgery were used for this breast reconstruction.
