This 36-year-old female presented with left breast cancer. She underwent bilateral nipple-sparing mastectomies with simultaneous hybrid bilateral deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flap and prepectoral silicone implant breast reconstruction (HyFIL®). Following surgery, the patient did require adjuvant radiation therapy to the left breast reconstruction. The radiation caused the left breast reconstruction site to be smaller and tighter than the non-radiated right side.
