This 51-year-old woman has a BRCA gene mutation and strong family history of breast cancer. She underwent a preventative bilateral nipple-sparing mastectomy. Because her abdominal volume was smaller than her native breast volume, she underwent simultaneous hybrid breast reconstruction with a deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flap with a prepectoral silicone implant (HyFIL®).
